Talk on “Policy on Protection Against Sexual Harassment” for NG Staff

NUST Centre for Counselling and Career Advisory (C3A) conducted 2nd batch on “Policy on Protection Against Sexual Harassment” in continuation of awareness sessions series in collaboration with HR Dte. This session took place on 6th June, 2023 at RIMMS Seminar Hall. Ms Ayesha Mujeeb, a senior psychologist from C3A, was the Resource Person for this talk. A total of 85 participants, including lab technicians/ assistants, UDC, LDC, and DPAs attended the session. The objectives of this session were:

1. To raise awareness among staff regarding policy on protection against sexual harassment at workplace
2. To acquaint them with the process of launching a complaint and inquiry procedure
3. To brief them about implementation of policy guidelines

The session was fruitful as the participants debunked myths and apprehensions about sexual harassment and gained knowledge about the existence and implementation of the policy. The participants acknowledged the importance of conducting such sessions and how it helps them learn more about such stigmatised topics.
