Lectures on NUST Policy on Protection against Harassment

Centre for Counselling & Career Advisory (C³A) arranged a series of lectures on NUST Policy on Protection against Harassment for the first year students of H-12 Campus and institutes other than H-12 Campus. C³A team briefed the participants about the policy, its implementation at NUST and the procedure for lodging complaints. These sessions emphasized on the importance of creating a safe and respectful space for all students by clearly defining prohibited behaviors and briefing about confidential reporting channels, procedures of conducting an inquiry and penalties as per policy.

The students participated enthusiastically by asking relevant questions and sharing their experiences and perceptions about the said topic. They also gained knowledge about the existence and implementation of the policy at NUST. The participants acknowledged the importance of conducting such sessions as it helped them learn more about steps that NUST has taken to ensure zero tolerance against harassment. A total of 1748 students of first year from different schools and institutes were reached out through these lectures.
