C3A Conducts Two-Days Basic Counselling Skills Training for Student Advisors
-The Centre for Counselling and Career Advisory (C3A) successfully conducted a two-day training on “Basic Counselling Skills” for student advisors of H-12 Campus. The training session was held at the C3A Conference Room on August 7th and 8th, 2024.
Ms. Ayesha Mujeeb (GM C3A) gave engaging opening remarks for the training highlighting the training’s role in fostering a supportive educational environment. Following this, the C3A team led an insightful training where the focus was on the vital role student advisors can play in safeguarding students’ emotional well-being. This training covered a range of crucial topics, from recognizing signs of distress and offering psychological first aid to understanding when to make appropriate referrals. Additionally, it addressed the importance of advisors’ own well-being and offered strategies to maintain personal wellness. C3A appreciates the participants’ active and valuable engagement in experiential activities, role plays, and group discussions.
