Two-Day Sensitization Training on NUST Harassment Policy with Focal Persons

-

The Centre for Counselling and Career Advisory (C3A), in collaboration with the HR Directorate, conducted a two-day sensitization training on the NUST Policy on Protection Against Harassment in August 2026 for nominated Focal Persons from the NUST H-12 Campus and Constituent Campuses.

The training focused on policy awareness, harassment recognition, and myths debunking regarding harassment, as well as informal and formal inquiry procedure and role of focal persons in handling harassment cases. The first day featured guest speaker Ms. Maliha Hussain, a seasoned expert from Mehergarh in harassment laws and organizational policy implementation. She shared valuable insights on harassment legislation and fostering a gender-sensitive, harassment-free environment. On the second day, C3A  focused on the practical application of these concepts, guiding 29 attendees through the harassment handling mechanism, their roles and responsibilities, confidentiality, and the due process involved in formal and informal inquiries. Such capacity-building efforts further reinforce NUST’s commitment to a safe, respectful and accountable environment.
