C3A’s Annual Visit to CoEME and MCS, Rawalpindi
-As part of the annual institutes’ visit, the NUST Centre for Counselling and Career Advisory (C3A) conducted a series of activities for the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CoEME) and Military College of Signals (MCS).
At both constituents, freshmen were introduced to the Centre’s wide range of support services, ensuring an informed and confident start to their academic journey. 2nd year students attended a Career Planning & Management (CPM) lecture, where they explored self-assessment and career options through a SWOT-based approach. Especially catering to students’ needs, a session on Emotional Intelligence offered practical strategies for understanding emotions and maintaining well-being. While a dedicated session on the “NUST Policy on Protection Against Harassment” guided students on complaint procedures and policy implementation. Overall, a total of 1079 students were reached during these sessions. Additionally, 50 Faculty members at CoEME and 11 at MCS also participated in a psychology of positivity session that explored strategies for managing stress constructively and creating a growth-oriented work environment. To further extend support, the C3A team also offered individual counselling services which were availed by 11 students at CoEME, supporting them in managing academic and personal challenges and enhancing their overall well-being.
